Linden, Michigan

The jiu jitsu Linden drives for.

Great Lakes BJJ is worth the drive up US-23 for real black belt coaching for adults, kids, and beginners. Youth 1 starts with one free session. Eligible jiu jitsu, kickboxing, and conditioning programs start with a free 14-day trial. Fight Prep has no direct trial; evaluation and ongoing coach approval are required. No contracts.

Why Linden trains here

Linden families know the difference between a class squeezed into a fitness studio and a real academy. There is no full-time jiu-jitsu gym in the Linden lakes area, so those who want black belt instruction make the drive up US-23 to Great Lakes BJJ, and say the quality makes it worth it.

  • Championship-level coaching: The head coaches are a competitive black belt couple, one of them a world champion. The Linden lakes area has no jiu-jitsu academy that comes close. That difference is why members make the drive.
  • Worth the drive up US-23: It is a straight run north on US-23, about twenty-five minutes. Linden members tell us the quality difference makes those minutes disappear once training becomes routine.
  • Beginners belong here: Most people walk in having never grappled. Beginner-designated sessions focus on fundamentals and may run separately or combine with an all-levels class. Tell your partner you are new, and ask questions when needed.
